Ornamental Mondays~~~Week #1~~~Body Ornaments

I’ve decided that for the very first Ornamental Monday I’ll be showcasing some of the jewelry giveaways going on around the blogosphere.  The cool thing is that I’ve found 3 of them from the same site.  And the really cool thing about this site is that it’s the site that got me started with my love of giveaways and contests.  That site is Audrey’s Give Aways.  And she’s just finished revamping the entire site so it looks really awesome.

The first giveaway I want to tell you about is with Silver River Jewelry and is for a pair of earrings called Midnight in the Garden.  They are gorgeous.  I love the color black when it comes to jewelry.  Onyx is one of my favorite semi-precious stones so these earrings rank right up there in the top 5 for me.  The giveaway is being hosted by Audrey and ends on October 1st so get in on this one asap.

The next giveaway I want to talk about is also hosted by Audrey and is for the Etsy shop known as Angel Elements.  This a very cute little site and she’s got a LOT of jewelry items up for sale.  But, in the giveaway, she’s offereing up the necklace of the winners choice AND there will be 2 winners in this giveaway.  That’s awesome.  I really like the Black Rose Filigree ring but that’s only because I collect roses that don’t die.  LOL.  This giveaway also ends on October 1st so don’t wait too long.  That’s this coming Friday.

And finally, Audrey is hosting a giveaway for The Chocolate Astronaut.  The giveaway is for a pair of green teardrop earrings AND a bowtie necklace.  I didn’t think I’d like those bow tie necklaces, but they really are very cute.  The cool thing about this shop is that she creates more than just jewelry.  She also makes several plush animals and I’m a huge fan of stuffed animals.  My favorite is this cute little white rabbit.  Reminds me of a story I once wrote.  This giveaway ends on October 8th so you’ve got a few extra days on this one, but don’t wait too long.

The Mysterious Giveaway

I love a good mystery. But when that mystery means I might get something back, even better. That’s why I had to jump over here and post about this latest giveaway I just found at The Lost Earring. First of all, how cool is that name???

Anyway, here’s the details of this giveaway. It’s not just one giveaway, it’s 7 giveaways. Whoo Hoo baby. 7 lucky people are going to get a little something from one of 7 different Etsy stores. And here’s the kicker, the prizes are the mystery. Yes my friends, that means that if you win something from one of these shops, you don’t get to know what you’re winning until you see it. Some people get a little freaked out about this, but I love the idea.

As a kid, I had a thing for mystery grab bags. We had a little store in my hometown that had a huge box full of little brown paper bags with mystery objects inside. For anywhere from 25 cents to a couple bucks, you could get yourself a grab bag. I probably spent a small fortune at that store, or anyway my mom did.

Anyway, back to this cool giveaway. The main entry requirement is to go to each of the stores and find one thing in each that you find most to your liking. Of course, that doesn’t mean that’s what you’ll win, it’s just the mandatory part of entering this giveaway. But I found a couple things I thought were way awesome. One of which is this beautiful Purple Hummingbird pin made from plexiglass.

The other is this awesome rubber stamp. Trust me, I’d use this on everything I own. LOL
