Book Your Giveaway Books

Hey kids!  Did you think I’d fallen off the face of the Earth?  Nope, just working very hard on getting things done for Christmas.  I’m making a lot of my gifts this year, but I can’t tell you what they are as many of the people who are getting them read this blog.  Anyway, I wanted to get over here and get something posted so you wouldn’t think I’d gone completely off the radar.  Hopefully once Christmas is over, I’ll be able to go back to posting on a more regular basis.

I did, however, want to tell everyone about something that my little friend Ruthi—from Ruthi Reads—has started doing.  She’s trying to help get the word out about everyone’s upcoming book giveaways and I think this is a very cool idea.  She calls it the BYGB, or Book Your Giveaway Books.  This is a monthly linky and this one is for BOOK GIVEAWAYS ONLY and is only for those that end during the month of December.  So, if you have a book giveaway happening and would like to get in on the action, check out Ruthi’s site and add your giveaway to the list.  It’s just that easy.

There will be a fresh BYGB event again next month, which will be for any and all book giveaways that end in January.  But for now, get over and check out this one and add your December event to this month’s list.  And when you do, be sure to tell my sun-shiny little friend HI!!!

Giveaway Link Ups Around the Web

There are a lot of giveaways going on throughout the blog-o-sphere.  But it’s almost impossible to announce them all in one place, unless you happen to be putting together a giveaway link-up.  And the cool thing about that is that there are a lot of those out there too.  Here are 3 different giveaway linky’s where you can find tons of current giveaways to get in on.

Mama To 4 Blessings is holding her weekly Super Saturday Link Up.  You can find a whole slew of contests to enter, or add you own giveaways going on at your site.  Up the ante and do both.  Please keep in mind that this is a family-friendly site and only submit giveaways that are rated “G”.  This link up is open through October 28th.

Bargain Fun is also holding a giveaway link up and at the time of this posting, there aren’t very many links.  If you happen to be holding a few giveaways, this would be a great place to post your links as they’d be closer to the top of the list and more likely to get noticed.

And finally, Heavenly Savings is hosting their weekly Weekend Win It link up.  There are less than 10 entries at the time of this posting, so get your giveaways added and get them seen by more people sooner.  This is one of my favorite giveaway link ups.

My Awesome Week

This has been a very cool week for me.  First and foremost, I am officially on vacation from my “real world” job.  Yes boys and girls, I have a real time job in the real world.  I’m a waitress in real life.  Okay, let me rephrase that.  I am a waitress, but I’m more of a “theatrical” food person.  I don’t just take my customers food and call it a day.  No, I joke around with them, sing to them, tell them stories, or whatever else it takes to put a smile on their faces while filling their bellies with good old fashioned home cooking.  I love my job.  LOL

Anyway, back at the cyber-yard.  This is turning out to be a fab week.  So far, I’ve won a pair of Simulated Diamond Earrings from Two Southern Girls.  I got that email when I first turned my computer on yesterday morning, then later on yesterday after noon I found out that I’d won a $10 e-gift card to Target from myCardz.net.  Whoo Hoo!!!  2 wins in 1 day.  Now that’s more like it.  LOL

On top of all that, my son celebrated his 20th birthday.  I don’t know why, but I’m very emotional about this one.  My baby turned 17 the first of the month, but that didn’t sting near as much as my oldest turning 20.  But I’m also thrilled about this fact.  He was a very sick baby when he was born so I think a lot of it has to do with that fact.  He made it and I survived raising him.  Whoo Hoo.  lol

So here’s to a wonderful 10 days vacation and the idea of my babies turning into well-rounded adults.  Well, as well-rounded as they can get having me for a mom.  Here’s to a lot more giveaway wins, and just having a good time while I can.  Remember kids, just because you get old doesn’t mean you have to act old.
