I never really knew who used these ideas, or how they could be used.  I’ve always thought of my writing prompts as a way for writers to come up with something to write about.  However, I found out today that they could be taken in a whole different direction. 

I’m a member of a new forum started by my friend, Garry Conn.  The forum is called The Bloggers Message Board, and it’s designed to help bloggers of every kind, and in every way.  Garry was kind enough to set up an area for writers, and writing prompts.  Today, I issued a challenge to the boards that ended up being a huge success in a short amount of time.  I gave a list of words, and asked that those that chose to do so, take one of those words and turn it into a niche.  Not just a post, but a whole site.  I was completely amazed at what came out of that whole idea.  Check out the whole thread.

So, in honor of the success at the message board, I’m going to do the same thing here, only I’ll be posting a whole different list of words.  As with the forum, I’d like to see you turn one of these words into an entire niche.  Let’s see just how creative you all can be.

And there you have it.  If you do create a site from these, let us know so we can link to your new site and give you a little link love.  If you decide to just use these prompts in a story, article, or other type of posting, that’s ok too.  We’ll still be more than happy to link to it so the rest of the world can check it out.
