Sunday Seeds 09-23-07
Happy First Day of Fall!!!!! I love this time of year. Being a September baby, I’ve always had a special place in my heart for this season. Therefore, our writing prompts for this week will be centered around this time of year.
1.) One of my favorite parts about this time of year is harvesting all the goodies out of my garden. Write about some of the things you’ve been reaping from your own gardens. Do you grow only enough for you and your family, or do you find yourself giving things to all your neighbors.
2.) Have you ever celebrated the harvest season? In some cultures, this is the time of year to party and give thanks for all the food that the Earth has given. Describe a harvest celebration you’ve participated in, or one that your family has talked about from days gone by.
3.) Tell the world about the various colors that grace the landscape of where you live. Tell us about your favorite areas, and which trees create the most beautiful autumn foliage.
4.) Do a little research, and write about autumn festivals in your area or how your ancestores dealt with this time of year.
5.) Write a report on things a person should do in order to maintain their trees, lawn, and/or flowerbeds to prepare them for the oncoming winter season.
And there are your seeds for this week. Use them however you like and where ever you want. Write them in your blogs, write an article for publication, or simply write something out for your personal journal. If you do put them on the web, let us know and I’ll create a link for you, so everyone else can come check them out.

On her personal blog, she writes Sunday Seeds, including topic ideas — or writing prompts — to keep you going on your own blog. The idea is fantastic to say the least!
