Sunday Seeds 03-09-08

I wasn’t sure which direction I wanted to go with this week’s seeds, but I’ve decided to use the fact that most Americans will be turning their clocks ahead by one full hour today. It’s nice because it will still be daylight at 6pm and I’ll get to feel like I get an extra hour of sleep come Monday morning.

There are a few other observances going on this week, including the anniversary of the issuance of paper money and the first telephone call made by Alexander Graham Bell. So with all that being said, here are your seeds for the week of March 9th-14th.

1.) Write a blog post or short article about daylight savings time. Do you look forward to it? Do you live in one of the few regions that doesn’t observe it? Use as much detail as possible.

2.) What are some of the things you associate with daylight savings time?

3.) Write a short story about what would happen if you realized that you had only a few hours to live.

4.) Daylight savings time usually means the beginning of spring, warmer weather, and family outings. What are a few of the things you look forward too as spring approaches.

5.) Write a post or article about whether or not you think the time change is really saving any time. Does it really matter whether or not we change our clocks or is this nothing more than a way that we as humans trick our minds?

Ok, kids. There are your seeds for this week. I hope you find something to spark your creativity, and if so, be sure to let us know where it’s at so we can share it with the world.
