Sunday Seeds 02-25-08
Well, now that the writer’s strike is over in Hollywood, tonight’s Academy Awards Ceremony should be a spectacular event. I’ll be honest, I think all these hyped awards shows suck. We all know which movies we think were great, and which ones should have been left in the drawing room. But, in honor of this tradition, this week’s seeds are all going to be set around this idea.
1.) Write an acceptance speech as though you’ve just won an award for doing an everyday chore such as doing the dishes or mowing the lawn.
2.) Come up with a new category for these awards shows. This category can be as outrageous or as mundane as possible.
3.) Create your own award show. Choose a subject, then decide what you’re categories are going to be, who should be nominated, and of course, the winners.
4.) Write a post about who you would like to see win one of these awards and why. Give as many details about your opinion as you can.
5.) Choose your favorite movie character and write a fictional interview with that character. Come up with a list of questions you’d like to ask your character and answers that you think would fit the personality of that character.
There are your seeds for this week. Use any of these ideas in any way you see fit. Mix them up, use only parts of them, or use them to inspire other ideas. If you do write anything from these ideas, let us know and we’ll create a link from our site to yours.
Good luck with these seeds and as always, Happy Writing.

Hi Christine. I really like the idea of writing the pretend interview and if I get a chance this week I will definitely give it a go and if I publish it I will let you know.
I don’t think my creativeness or use of language is up to par right now so like thess seed ideas you drop, very much.
On another note. I tagged you for an interesting Meme. I am not sure if you really do these but if you do I would love to see your answers. http://www.therandomforest.com/2008/02/25/its-about-time-for-a-meme-4×4-meme/
Thanks Forest.
I’m glad you like the seeds. I sometimes wonder if anyone out there is using them or not, so it’s nice to hear that you’re giving it a go.
Don’t worry about how creative you feel, let the words write themselves. and let me know if you’ve done anything with them, I’d be more than happy let everyone know.
Hope your having a great day.
