Ready for NaNo
I want to apologize for not posting for so long. I’ve been working out the details for my novel in the upcoming NaNoWriMo. In my previous post, I told you all about the National Novel Writing Month and how writers from all over the world come together to write their novels in a month’s time. Well, I think I’m just about ready.
I’m not going to go into a bunch of details just yet, I’ll cover those as the month of November progresses, but I will tell you a few things about it. First of all, the title of my book is going to be “My Life After My Death”. No, it’s not a horror or mystery, it’s going to be more of a science fiction type book. I’m going to combine my love of ancient history, ancient religions, and my Pentacostal upbringing into a fictional realm of endless possibilities.
I want to thank everyone who has stopped by and wished me luck. As the month progresses, I will keep everyone up to date as to how I’m doing and how many words I’ve accomplished. My goal is 50,000 words by the end of the month, so I may need some encouragement as I go along.
And on a brighter note, I have to say a big thanks to everyone out there who’s mentioned this blog in one way or another. I finally got my first PR update today, and I went straight to a PR3. Whoo Hoo!! Now that really made my day.

Hey there!! Not sure about being ready for Nano… but I did want to say congrats on the PR3! Nice work!
Thank you sweetie, I couldn’t have done it without you.
I’ve had to check twice today already just to make sure I wasn’t dreaming it. LOL
I must admit, I don’t read much fiction at all, but the title of your book certainly has me intrigued! It sounds like the kind of fiction I do enjoy and can manage to read through.
Good luck!
Also, congrats on the PR update!
Thanks honey. I was pretty happy about it.
I had a totally different story line going up until about 4 days ago, when this story I’ll be doing just hit me out of the blue. You know when you’re lying in bed, and you’re not quite asleep, but you’re not really awake? You know those weird thoughts that run through your brain?
Well, that’s what happened to me. I was lying there, almost asleep, when it just came to me. The plot, the characters, everything. I have most of it outlined, but can’t start the actual writing until midnight, November 1st. Plus, if I can bang out 1,700 words a day, I’ll meet my 50,000 word goal, and then some.
Hi, did I mention I put in a good word for you so that you could get your PR3. They said no problems but they had to take it off my blogs, and I said what the heck she deserves it.
Congrats Christine
You gave up your ranking for little ole me???? Why, I am truly honored. LOL
I will be doing something good for you in just a few minutes.
I just love when that happens. I’ve definitely solved plenty of my programming problems that way!
Thanks Christine that felt sooooo good.
Anytime sweetie, anytime
