Life Gave Me Lemons
Sometimes things happen in this life that we have no control over. I found that out the hard way this past week. I went on vacation last week, everything I’ve done online for the past 3 years still intact. However, when I came home, I found that my website was gone. Not just offline, but totally gone. I was unable to access it through Firefox or IE. I thought maybe it had to do with the hosting account, so I transferred it to my HostGator account, but that didn’t work either.
So, I had to go back in and completely redo the entire site from scratch. I’ve had to upload a new theme, replace widgets and codes, and find old posts and replace them as well. I’ve spent the past 2 days trying to get everything updated and keep from throwing a sludge hammer through my computer screen. It’s been totally frustrating.
Then it hit me, this is a chance for a whole new beginning. I uploaded a whole new theme, and did a little polishing to make it my own. I replaced a few of my old posts, but left a few of the dated one out. I’m pretty happy with the outcome so far, but I’m still in the process of putting it back together.
It would be very easy to get really upset over this and I’ve been known to do just that. However, it’s easier to find a way to make this work in my favor, rather than end up sick over the whole thing. I’ve always heard the adage that when life gives you lemons, you should make lemonade. I did just that, and it’s never tasted sweeter.
