I won the NaNoWriMo challenge

NaNoWritMo Winner

It is offical.  I have finished my NaNo novel with a total of 50,184 words.  It’s such a relief to be done, and yet at the same time, it feels like I’ve nothing left to do.  Finishing such a daunting task sends a thousand different emotions through a person’s body. 

I am happy to be done, except for the fact that now I have to go back and do all my editing.  However, that can wait.  I don’t have a deadline for that part of the journey.  I’m pretty happy with the way the whole story finished up.  I was beginning to think that I was just wasting my time, but now that I see how it’s ended, I think I did okay. 

I’m going to have my sister read the whole thing before I do anything else.  She’s a paperback novel junkie, and knows a good book from a bad book in a heartbeat.  And she’s not afraid to tell me I suck. 

I want to thank everyone who’s come by and wished me well.  Especially Matt.  If it wasn’t for all of you, I probably wouldn’t have finished or even come close.  I hope you all know how much it meant to me to have you coming by and cheering me on.  I couldn’t have done this without all of you.

  2. Woohoo! Looks like you just posted this like 10 minutes ago? So proud of you, you have no idea! I don’t care if your sister likes it or not, I want to read it some way or another! ;) Congrats again, you deserve a big celebration, maybe dine out somewhere nice or something. :D

  3. @ Garry–There is no one winner. Everybody that makes it to the 50,000 goal, wins. It’s about taking up the challenge and seeing it through to the end.

    And this year, I did it. :)

    @ Matt–Thanks hon, and once it’s all said and done, I will somehow make sure you get a copy to read. Or line your bird cage, whichever. LOLOLOL

    I honestly began to believe that it was never going to happen, but I finally did it.

    However, three different times tonight, I’ve thought that I needed to get some work done on the book, before it dawned on me that it was done. LOL

  7. Well, I did make it to the ending, but I may add more when I go back and do the editing. I’m sure there are a few places that need a little more uumph.
