Attention science fiction writers. Escape Pod is now accepting submissions for their science fiction podcasts. They accept a wide range of science fiction, but please no horror or fantasy pieces. They have 2 sister sites for those and they can be found in the site’s guideline section.

Escape Pod is seeking works of science fiction from between 2,000 and 6,000 words, but say that works between 3,500 and 5,000 words work the best for their limited podcast time. Each submission that is accepted will be narrated by one of their staff members and will pay $100 for said submission.

Every once in a while, Escape Pod will fill in time with anywhere from 2 to 5 works of flash fiction. Flash fiction pieces usually range up to 1,000 words and are very quick to listen to. Escape Pod will pay up to $20 for each flash fiction piece they accept.
